In order to carry out all the projects that Kiwanis is involved with throughout the year, each member is asked to join one or more committees.

AwardsRecognize outstanding service by Club members as well as local Arlington County residents and organizations 
Bell RingingOrganize and manage Bell Ringing by Club members in the month of December to raise funds for the Salvation Army

Community ServiceIdentify, select and execute Club’s community service projects 
Entertainment BooksOrganize and manage sale of Entertainment books to raise funds for the Club 
FinancePrepare and monitor implementation of Club’s Annual Budgets 
Holiday PartyOrganize Club’s annual party in the month of December prior to Christmas 
Inter-ClubsOrganize Club members’ participation in interclub meetings 
Inter-Service Club CouncilRepresent the Club in the Inter-Service Club Council and participate in the Council’s activities 
Long Range PlanningRevise, as necessary, the Club’s long range plan; assist with development of a strategic plan 
Member WelfareKeep track of important news about individual members and report them to the Club 
NominationsIdentify suitable candidates for the positions of Directors and Officers of the Club and conduct Annual Elections 
OrientationProvide information and guidance to new members on the rules, regulations and expectations of the Club 
Oyster Feast/Pig RoastOrganize and manage the Annual Oyster Feat & Pig Roast to raise funds for the Club 
Peanut SalesOrganize and manage Peanut Sale to raise funds for the Club 
ProgramsSelect and invite guests to speak on topics of general interest to Club members at weekly Club meetings 
Public RelationsMaintain liaison with media to generate public awareness about the Club and its activities 
ScholarshipsGive college grants to graduating students of high academic and service achievements who are members of Key Clubs supported by the Club 
Service Leadership ProgramWork with local schools to sponsor K-Kids, Builders, Key and CKI Clubs in schools 
Spiritual AimsGive invocations and benedictions at Club meetings and organize spiritual programs on fifth Wednesdays of a month 
Sponsors ProgramManage and coordinate activities to promote Sponsors Program to raise funds for the Club 
Terrific Parent AwardsRecognize and reward single teenager parents who raise children while still in pursuit of their own education 
UsheringOrganize and coordinate ushering by Club members at Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall, Alexandria to raise fund for the Club

Young Children Priority OneOrganize Club activities to support children from pre-natal stage to 5 years of age
